Position: General Software/Firmward Engineer
Location: Irvine, CA
It was back in 2010 when I just got my master degree.
I was invited to an onsite interview with 5 other people.
There were 5 stages and a group lunch.
Onsite (6 hours, whole day)
1st stage: Introduction of WD
There would be some simple questions asked to test your interest in the company
You will be sitting with few other people around.
2nd stage: Manager of Test Engineers
- If you have 1 disk failed in the raid of 12 disk, how do you figure out which one is the bad one
- A graph with different animals, and you should figure out how to get them across the river
3rd stage: Manager of Application Engineers
Mainly want you to communicate well with him and he wanted you to be interested and have a basic understanding of the company.
4nd stage: Manager of Test Engineers
Asking you about school experiences and personality questions
5nd stage: Engineer of Performance Testing
- How to solve SQL injection by adding a protection in PHP
- Reverse linked list
- Finding the missing number in a number list
- Some Javascript and CSS questions
