- Rejection from HR
Overall experience was smooth and positive except for the rejection. The HR person emailed me a few days after my final interview to schedule a time to talk. All she said during the scheduled talk was “we’ve decided to move forward with the other candidate who has more enterprise experience than you”. Apparently, they have a policy about doing rejections verbally rather than via e-mail, but,
- there’s no reason to delay a 30-second phone call
- I’d have been much happier with a ‘less friendly’ email rejection a day earlier over a 30-second distracted verbal rejection a day later.
