其实现在越来越多的公司都在考behavior question,比如一直都有的某麻传统项目leadership principle又或是G家今年新加的googleyness。都是公司在管理层面的一种改革,其实或多或少在管理层面是一个不错的革新,可以在面试过程重简单的筛选出不太容易管理的candidate。BTW,如果把leadership整天挂在嘴边,每天以这种洗脑的八荣八耻来压榨员工是非常恶心的一件事。

摸清本质和套路
所有的BQ都是一样的结构,介绍你自己,简历dive in,一些特定的问题,以及你有什么想问的问题。
所以很简单,必须要准备好的是,2分钟左右的自我介绍,你的学校,工作经历,参与了什么项目,之后带一点小过度,提供一点点思路为什么你要选择面试这个公司。然后简历一定要吃透,准备好简历里的bullets改成一些小故事。把那些故事内化,这个过程其实是最难的,大部分面试者很难把故事讲清楚,大部分原因是工作经验的不足,下面会有很多例子给大家分享。最后就是准备一些问面试官的小问题,有趣的结束面试。
简洁,具体 + high level
Remember to answer each interview question behaviorally, whether it is a behavioral question or not. The easiest way to do this is to use an example from your background and experience. Then use the S-T-A-R approach to make the answer a STAR : talk about a Situation or Task (S-T), the Action you took (A) and the Results achieved ®. This is what makes your interview answer uniquely yours and will make your answer a star!
总分结构是BQ最好的结构,你做了什么,抽一个点,讲一下小细节。
最好让面试官问您更多细节,而不是给他或她提供比需要或想要的更多的信息。增加你们的互动性,但是你可以给他挖个小坑,比如,我做了这么一个项目,怎么样怎么样,说的过程中穿插着challenging之类的暗示词汇,这样就可以把节奏完全掌握在自己的手里!因为下一个followup问题八九不离十就是你怎么解决有挑战性的问题的。
混合使用 I 和 We
想一下,如果你一直都说,我做了什么,那么听起来你就不像一个team player。如果你一直都说We,面试官就想知道其实你实际上到底做了什么。那么,同时使用的时候,你就可以讨论团队完成了什么和你自己的具体贡献。关键的是,我建议你说I learned from,避免面试官感觉你在吹牛。
永远不要消极
在BQ的时候,我们经常会被问到hard time, failure, conflicts, challenging. 我的建议是,即使在谈论真正错误的事情时,也要找到一种保持积极态度的方法。比如你team发布了一个产品,但失败了。你肯定不能这样说,你可以说,“我们推出了该产品,我们的许多客户都喜欢它。但是,要获得广泛的采用,我们必须以无利可图的价格提供它。因此,我们决定退役该项目,但能够将其某些最佳feature作为dependency/module添加到其他成熟的产品中。”
所以无论面试官问我们什么负面的问题,我们将精力集中在积极的方面-您所学到的valuable experience以及下次如何应用这些经验教训(如果没有其他方法)。如果你这么答,你的BQ反馈很有可能给你带来很高的包裹。
