Job Description
Brix is building a new online platform that allows clients with a software development need to get professional software development services, by matching them with top-tier developers and project managers. As an experienced tech leader, you will design, build and operate Web services at
scale, interfacing with teams ranging from the front-end to the back-end, and delivering the plumbing in-between. Surrounded by world-class technical talent, and building on cloud infrastructure, you will translate user requirements, drive an evolving architecture, help define our roadmap, and individually contribute code.
This role requires ownership, autonomy, and an ability to deliver results, often within the ambiguity of building a v1 product. You will need to work efficiently to build the right things with limited guidance, and your experience will raise the bar to create an amazing experience for our customers.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 6+ years of software development experience
- Strong background with modern web architecture
- Experience architecting/operating solutions build on AWS ·
- Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies ·
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in computer science or a related field
- Understanding of modern machine learning techniques is a PLUS
- Top-notch communication skills with technical and non-technical staff.
- Architectural experience for a large-scale system.
- Previous opportunities in a tech leadership position.
- Proven track record of cross-team, high-level delivery.
- Previous experience in distributed systems.
- 5+ years design/implementation/consulting experience with web applications ·
