What skills/experience do I need?
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research or Engineering or equivalent training and experience.
3-5 years of experience manipulating data sets, building statistical models, processing and cleaning data, and deriving insights.
Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB
Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
Good scripting and programming skills with knowledge of programming languages like Python, SQL, Java, R, and Scala to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
Experience with common data science toolkits, such as Pandas, NumPy, MatLab, Spark, etc
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams in a small fast-paced environment.
